Happy Easter!!!

Easter was a cold drizzling 40 degree day, but the three of us enjoyed our time together! So with the weather, we had to do an inside / outside Easter Egg hunt.

My batteries died on my big camera, so we were stuck with our phones and our old digital camera...This was shot with a phone, and may be my favorite photos we snapped of the morning.

Cousins!!!

A few weekends back, Sean and I went up to Maine to visit his brother Kris and his family. All of the kids had a blast hanging out and doing what kids do best....PLAY:)

That's Troy boy in the middle with the striped shirt...always the life of the party! The kids had a show for us on Saturday night, it involved dancing, singing, and just plain silliness. Owen is in the background, playing the piano for everyone, while Miss Maggie sings her sweet little heart out.

I know that this photo is blurry, but it best describes Troy Boy...ALWAYS ON THE GO:) And Owen LOVED playing with Troy!

Oh how my sweet little girls loved on Owen the whole trip, they were constantly attached to him, and each other. My sweet Mag-pie on the left and Annika on the right, enjoying a pre-breakfast chip:)

Living Room Project

We tackled the living room and sitting room the following weekend.  We re-painted all of the moulding a cream white color, and re-painted the walls.

And this is after...from the EXACT angle...can you believe it? The dining room is A LOT different...more to come on the dining room soon...but still the same angle.

And After...the exact same angle in the house. It has been pretty amazing to see this house transform!

There is still a little bit of tweaking that needs to be done with the lighting, and the chair in the corner, but for the most part the living room is exactly how we pictured it, homey, warm, and inviting:) Come visit us!

Transformations...Mudroom and Half Bath

Since we moved in we have been doing various projects on the "new" house. (I say new house lightly since our house was built in 1869.) We have so far successfully redesigned/redecorated / remodeled 6 rooms so far. It has been a lot of work, but we have certainly enjoyed seeing the transformation of this house into our new home.

The first project we worked on was the mud room. When we viewed the house the previous owners were using this mud room off of the kitchen as a storage room. It had no use, and it was so ugly. With a new fresh coat of paint, and a few great finds from local antique stores, we were able to transform the ugly mud room to the newly designed, functional mud room for the Anderson's.

The next project (meaning the next weekend) we tackled was the half bath. Right when I saw this bathroom during the first viewing of the house, I knew what I was going to do with it. I had this vision of what I wanted, with some hard work by both Sean and me, the bath turned out exactly how I had planned. Sean and I ripped down the existing wallpaper, ripped out the 1980s wall mounted sink, and replaced it with a new pedestal sink with new hardware, and replaced the existing non-functioning light fixture. We basically gutted the entire half bath, the only items that stayed were the floors and the toilet, (however the toilet got a brand new seat, and handle).
