Introduction of the Sippy Cup

Look at our big guy and his sippy cup! We decided to start early and introduce the sippy cup to Owen in hopes that it would make it an easier transition from bottle to sippy when he is older. And as you can see from the photos, he has not yet mastered the art of drinking from the cup, but he is awfully inquisitive about it! We know he is still young yet to be drinking from it, but we just put water it the cup and let him explore! It really is too fun to see how he continues to advance, and grow right in front of our eyes! He is such an amazing boy!

He set the sippy down for a moment, and then would lounge forward to get the cup on the floor! It was the cutest thing!

Giggle Party

Big Boys Sit Up!

Owen is officially sitting up on his own now! I can't believe it! He is still a little wobbly, but he can balance himself pretty well! This video was taken a few weeks ago, and Owen is MUCH better now at sitting up! I can't believe it! Also Owen is 7 months old today! Time has flown by! We don't have an infant anymore, we have an active, happy, almost crawling 7 month old!!

Best Invention...Hands down!

Hands down the best invention is SKYPE!  As you know, Sean and I live far away from family, and with the invention of Skype (a free web-based video conferencing site) Sean and I are able to chat with family and friends!  Here are a few photos Jenni and Mike took of us "Skype-ing". 

What an absolute blessing it is to see family that lives so far away.  If you don't have Skype yet..download it for free...it is so great!

Owen is officially a water baby! He loves taking baths, and splashes the whole time!!

 By far, one of my favorite nights, both Sean and I were soaked!  We all had so much fun!

Photo-Less

I have recently realized that I love taking pictures so much, that I am never in the photos! 

So in attempt to have some photos of me and Owen, I have used our "photobooth" that is in our computer to shoot a few photos of me and O-Man.

This is one of my favorites!  Owen has begun to want everything that Sean and I have in our hands.  He was so enamored with my glass of water, I decided to see if he would take it.  Sure enough, he grabbed it and attempted to drink from the glass!  Now he won't keep his hands off our drinks!  

He is my everything (next to his daddy of course!)

Sean was able to catch Bonnie and Owen playing the other night!  Too cute!  As you can see, Owen is just about ready to crawl...I can't believe it! 

Sparklers!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! 

The highlight of the weekend though was this shot...Owen and the sparkler.

Baby Dedication

Last Sunday, Sean and I dedicated Owen in front of our church family. It was an extremely special day for us and our family. We made a vow in front of our church family to raise Owen up to know the Lord.  It was so special, and the whole church prayed over us as we raise our son in the coming years. We didn't have any photos from the day, but we have the whole dedication on video.  It was so special!  We wished all of our family could have been here to share the special day!   

Seriously???

I just realized it has been 2 weeks since I have posted anything on my page!  It literally seems as if time is moving at full warp speed, and I am doing everything I can to keep up!  I promise I will do better in the future!  Here are some of my favorite photos from the past few weeks. 

Sean made a putting green in the backyard, and he chipped and putted all day, while Owen and I watched with admiration.  As you can tell Owen was enthused by the whole thing!

He is completely conked out!   He never wants to get out of it!  Even for nappy-poo time! 

We had a giggle party one night!  It was absolutely hysterical!  I wasn't able to get as many photos as I wanted, but here are some of my favorite! 

The only reason I posted this blurry one was to show you how he was squirming while laughing! 

There truly is nothing better than hearing Owen laugh!  It warms my heart every time!
