To Nana's house we go...again:)

Nana is packing up her house and moving soon. So Sean and I headed over and helped her with some house projects.

While we were there, Mike and Jenni were coming back through town after Disneyland, and our good friend Jamie dropped by too! It was an awesome day!

California~Day 4~Idyllwild

We took a trip to see one of my close friends from high school. She and her family live up in the San Bernadino mountains in Idyllwild. Her daughter, Hailey was almost 13 months, and Owen and Hailey played and played!

We found this great little play area in town where they got to run around and play in the warm mountain sunshine! Sean got some great shots of us corralling our kiddos...

and at the end of the evening...they both had their first kiss! Owen fell in LOVE with Miss Hailey.

(My big camera died, so all I had was my phone...this was the best shot I got....He was moving too fast for my phone to get a clear photo...but this was priceless!!!)

Sean and I had a wonderful time in Idyllwild with Tim and Linsey. Being with old friends in California was wonderful!

California~ Day 3

We were lucky to time our trip perfectly with Mother's Day! Sunday we had a wonderful day with my mom and nana at church, and then headed to Tom and Linda's to see Great Gramma Mac for brunch.

Great Gramma Mac and Owen played and read. And of course Owen took the stage, and golfed with the remote control! We had an awesome day!

Then we headed back and had dinner with Mom and Steve. Mom and I didn't have to do anything! Steve and Sean ran out and got dinner for us, and the boys picked up afterwards. It was a great Mother's Day. It was truly a blessing to be able to spend Mother's Day with my family! It meant the world to me!

California~Day 2

This was the life....

I love my family...

Nana's House:

The second day of our trip we headed out to Nana's house to hang by the pool with Mikey and Jenni and their boys (William 2 1/2 and Avery 9 1/2 weeks), mom and Steve and Hannah, and of course Nana. Nana cooked amazing tacos, and we ate, and then relaxed by the pool. It was spectacular and wonderful, and amazing! And the weather was gorgeous!

I think between all of us and our cameras we got some great shots. William and Owen played non-stop together, and Owen followed William around like a little puppy dog.

And thanks to Uncle Monkey...Owen learned to love "sipping his beer". (Oh goodness gracious!)

Daddy and Owen...My two favorite boys! There is nothing better than seeing them play together. It warms my heart everytime! Owen LOVES playing in the pool!

BUBBA's (As Owen says...) They loved bubble time!
Chilling by the pool

Owen grabbed a beer (Full and unopened of course) and walked around the pool, and he would lift it up and say "MMMMMM....Aaaahhhh". Mike and Sean encouraged it of course...and the more they encouraged the more Owen got into it. So not appropriate...but funny nonetheless!

California or Bust!

4 days after I got back from New York, the 3 of us made the trek to California to see all of my family! We had an AMAZING trip! It felt so good to breathe that California air, and be home for a week! We crammed in a lot of activities, and had plenty of good family time!

The Plane:

Owen did great on the plane! He slept the last hour, and watched his baby signing DVD's quietly the first 2 hours. We had a comedy of errors when we first boarded the plane. Sean and I had just gotten our bags settled, and we had put Owen down on the floor between the two of us, and then suddenly, coffee starts pouring out all over Owen. Some idiot (I could use other choice words, but I have been kind to use *idiot*) left his / her full coffee in the chair pouch. I had coffee all over my bags, my legs, and all OVER Owen. Luckily it wasn't hot coffee...

We landed safe and sound...however, I found out that my navigational skills are terrible. I thought that it all would come back to me once we got on the road, and I was having a terrible time figuring out how to get from point a to point b. I felt like I was in a foreign country. It was the weirdest feeling. Poor Sean had to do several U-turns before I finally got my brain in the right direction. It only took me a few days, but I finally knew where I was going the rest of the trip. (I must add I had to use the iPhone several times to "remind" me where things were...) I think that is my first sign that I have been away from California too long, and I need to come back.

Home sweet Home:

We got home to Hemet and played on the porch for a while, and came inside and had YUMMY spaghetti!

Travels...trips...oh my!

We have had an awesome, busy month of May! Rather than posting a huge post reflecting back on the month...I am going to try and catch you up...slowly but surely...post by post...

The first weekend in May I took a trip to New York to have a girls weekend. Sean and Owen stayed in Texas while I ventured off to New York to see my girls for a bachelorette and wedding shower weekend.

I didn't take my big camera, just my small camera, so I didn't take as many pictures as I would have hoped. But the memories I have of that weekend will last forever. We all had a great time. We squeezed in as much as we could, and all of us girls had a lot of catching up to do. It was an AWESOME trip!

All of the girls...
The Alfred crew...
