Suprise!!

To all of my readers (All 5 of you :) ) I apologize for not updating as often as I should have this past month, we have had quite the adventure the past few weeks!   Isn't it interesting that when I have the most to say, is when I update my blog the least!

Here goes nothing...the past few months of our lives...

We went to California for a family visit in May, we went to New York for a visit in July, and headed back out to California in August for a quick trip.  Sean and I started to think of all of the travel we have had to to in the past 6 1/2 years to see family, that we looked at each other in wonderment as to why we hadn't taken the plunge.  Well we always had opportunities, recruiters constantly call Sean at work, but it was never in a prime location, like somewhere in Kentucky, or Illinois, Wisconsin, or some other odd state, that wasn't going to get us closer to family.  Well we prayed...hard about the timing.  And this year full of travel really lit the fire underneath us both to really start pursuing a move....In a matter of a few weeks to when Sean was really taking this whole "Let's move, and get closer to family" more seriously, Sean took two calls from two different recruiters, travelled east and west for two job interviews, and we finally took the plunge, and....
We are relocating to NEW YORK!!!

We will be living in Corning, NY. http://www.city-data.com/city/Corning-New-York.html It is a small town nestled within the finger lakes of Western New York.  We will be about 45 minutes from where Sean and I went to school.  We will also be close to all of Sean's family, and close to all of our wonderful friends from college.  Although it is far from my family in California, we actually will be able to get California more often than once a year.  Also this town will be GREAT for visitors look at some of these links:)

And these two museums are right in the town of Corning...no more drive to Dallas for a museum!

We have witnessed God's perfect timing in this whole adventure, and we have been so blessed!  His timing is always perfect!

Goof Ball Owen

I heart New York

Sean made the trek out to New York by car last Wednesday, and finally got to NY on Friday afternoon. He stopped just outside of St. Louis the first day, and then stopped to see our close friends Dave and Emily outside of Cleveland on Thursday night. He has found a room to rent in Corning, NY which will be perfect! It is right down town, and he will be able to walk to work, and it is very economical, which will help us as we prepare financially for the future.

I have agreed to stay back in Texas with Owen until our house sells, and then I will join him shortly after. We want to be as economical as possible, and in order to support two households (New York and Texas), we will need two incomes. There may be a possibility of me transferring with Merrill Lynch, but that is also in the process as well. But the ultimate goal is for me to stay home with Owen.

Please pray for all of us as we head on this journey together, yet separate. This is just a temporary sacrifice we are making to make sure we are being smart financially. It is a little blurp on the radar, and soon enough we will be together. :) We are going to be close to many family and friends that we have been without for these 6 years. It will be really great to reconnect with so many people.

So someone buy our house so we can be with daddy in New York!
