Sean and I were driving home from dinner on Tuesday night at about 9:10pm at night and we were "vaselined". We were traveling on a north on a back country road, and a car full of hooligans traveling south, threw a can of vaseline out their car and hit us as we were passing them! Complete KNUCKLEHEADS! A bunch of kids with nothing better to do. The vaseline can hit our driver's side headlight and put a huge hole in the plastic casing. So we got it fixed yesterday...$440 later...GEEZ. Insurance is covering it, but that was money we weren't planning on spending. My goodness...I was driving and Sean said I should have stopped and turned around, but I didn't. I am 37 1 /2 weeks pregnant hunting down a car full of hooligans...who knows what else they could have had. Complete act of randomness...

Burst of Energy
So I have this unexplainable burst of energy! After working all day, I came home, vacuumed, swept and mopped the floors and I am getting ready to make my fabric bulletin board. It is absolutely crazy!
I went to the Doc's today for my 36 week check up. It appears as though Mr. Anderson wants to stay put. I haven't effaced, or dilated yet. But baby's head is still down and he is healthy! I asked how big he was today, and Doc said that he is already 7 POUNDS! But I have 3 1/2 more weeks to go...I could have a big boy on my hands. As long as he is healthy I don't mind:) I just can't believe how soon he will be here...I am so excited:-)

Fancy Schmancy
Why is it when you have pretty hands and nails, you feel pretty all over? Despite the fact you have a huge belly and your ankles are starting to swell? I don't normally splurge on myself for things like manicures and pedicures, but I did today after work! And it was spectacular! Personally...I think pedicures should become a necessity when you can't reach your feet...After I took this picture and posted it, I didn't realize how swollen my feet and ankles look. The camera adds ten pounds right???? Well I did work a full day in 2 1/2 inch heels...that might have something to do with the swelling...hmmm.
On another note...we just got a message that our rocker / glider for the nursery is finally ready! I am so excited I can hardly stand it! We ordered it like 7 weeks ago, and it was a custom order, and I can't wait to get it! Can you guess what color it will be? I'll give you a hint...my toes and my chair are one in the same:-) It is really going to pull the room together! I have to wait until the weekend to pick up, but I PROMISE I will post pictures of the nursery once we pick up the chair! Also I don't want to post pictures until I finish two projects, a basket liner and a fabric lined bulletin board. The only thing missing will be his name above the crib, but we all know the name is a surprise, so I couldn't let you see that anyway :-)

How Time Flies
I can't believe I am 36 weeks pregnant! Where on earth did the time go? I can hardly believe it! Time has flown by so fast! I had my 35 week appointment on Wednesday and the doc checked to see if I was dilated or effaced...but I am not yet. But both Sean and I are so surprised that we are already here...! But our little guy, Mr. Anderson is in position, head down, so I guess that will only help with the process.
After I had my appointment on Wednesday, it kind of set the fire underneath Sean and I to get everything in order for the nursery. So needless to say we will be working on the nursery this weekend. We really don't have a lot to work on, but I am definitely nesting, and ready to have the room 100% ready. At this point, I would say we are 80% there! It just seems to be an organized mess right now. I know where everything is, and where it should go, it is just getting it in order.
Once we get the nursery finished this weekend, I will post some pictures. And I will post pictures of the belly.
That's all for now! Everyone have a great weekend:)

First time for Everything!
Hi All!
This is my first attempt at blogging...I have finally decided to jump into the blogging world with both feet! I thought what better way to communicate with family and friends than an online journal? I have several friends who are masters at blogging and hopefully they will help soon:) I promise, my blog will get better looking as the weeks and months go on... but for right now, this will do.
The main reason I wanted to start the blog is because my husband and I are expecting our first child on December 14th. We live far from both of our families, and we are far away from a majority of our friends, so we thought that it would be a great outlet to keep everyone informed. We are just ordinary people, trying to balance our jobs, our 2 crazy dogs, long distance relationships with family and friends, and LIFE! The basic balancing act... and we do it all while being stuck in the middle.
