Washing the Car
Owen loves loves loves doing anything that daddy is doing. The other weekend, we had family car washing day. I as able to catch some really great shots of O and Sean together:-)
Labor Day
Our good friends, Peter and Kenda, and their son, Oliver (17 months) made the 10 hour trek down from Des Moines , IA for the long Labor Day weekend. Peter's brother lives in Dallas, and they stopped to see us on their way down to Dallas. We actually got 2 1/2 full days with them! We are so lucky and blessed to have such amazing friends! The last time we saw them, we were packing up their moving van, and they were waving out the back window as they headed up to Iowa. We had an amazing weekend with them!
The second night Peter and Kenda were in town, we had a BBQ with some of our other great friends, the Blackshear's. We are quite the crew when we all get together!
Oliver and Owen-O2
We were so excited to hear that our dear friends, Peter and Kenda were going to make the trek from Iowa to Texas for Labor Day weekend. Peter and Kenda moved to Des Moines in December and we haven't seen them since. We had a great time with them! Their son, Oliver was 10 months when they left, and now he is 17 months. The boys had a lot of fun together, but it took about a day and a half for them to really start "playing" with each other. Here are a few of my favorite shots of O2.

Owen and my Shoes
Owen LOVES playing with all of my shoes. It never fails, if he is in our room with us, he goes straight to my closet to grab my shoes. We usually have to pick up my shoes once a night after he has strewn them all through the house.

A Boy and his Doggies
A few weeks back, Sean and his friend Steve, ran the hottest half (the boys ran the 10k)in Dallas. While they ran their race in Dallas, I stayed home, with our 2 dogs, Owen, and Steve's yellow lab, Butters. It was such a fun morning! Since the boys had to leave so early(4am), the yellow lab surprised Owen in the morning, and he squealed with delight when he saw this big doggie. So we had Bonnie, Bugsy, Butters, and Owen...We had the BEST morning! I honestly don't know what was more work, corralling 3 dogs, and a toddler so I could get ready for church, or running in a 10K in 85 degree humid weather...I did make it to church with a few minutes to spare...but not before I could snap a few GREAT photos of Owen and his doggies:)
