My Precious 6 Month Old (Almost)

Owen had his "6" month check up on Thursday.  The doc was going out of town the week of his "real" 6 month appointment so we went 2 weeks early.

We have a healthy baby boy...he is tiny but really healthy:)

Here are his stats:(Remember 2 weeks early...)
Height: 25.5 Inches (25th percentile)
Weight: 14 Lbs 10.5 Ounces (11th percentile)
Head circumference: 17 (50th percentile)

I am alive!

Yes...we are alive and doing well...we just have been incredibly busy the passed few weeks!  Please accept my apologies for not getting on and blogging as much as I used to.  Juggling work, husband and baby, there leaves little alone time.  And sometimes that alone time I am doing something other than hopping on the computer.  But at any rate...I am back for the time being, and will attempt to update the last few weeks!

We dog sat this giant fur-ball last week!  One of the ladies I work with has a giant Old English Sheep Dog, and we were lucky enough to keep him for a week while she went down to Dallas to see her new grandbaby.  Max was so funny!  We laughed the whole time we had him.  It was hard having a doggie in the house right after Cloud left us, but it was also really healing, and we were able to grieve less.  Don't get me wrong, we MISS Cloud dearly, but it was nice having a goof ball dog around to make us laugh.  We are in no way ready for another doggie, but we will just borrow Max every now and again!

How could you NOT love this face????

Sean had a lot of fun with Max.  As you can see he is HUGE!!! But a great big goof ball, and so funny!

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Memorial Day weekend!  We sure did!  We were slammed the entire weekend...pool parties, bbq's, gamenight's, a 5K and another pool party and BBQ.  I don't think we sat down all weekend long.  Owen was in the pool yet again both times and loved every minute of it!

Me and Owen in the pool having fun:)

Sean finishing up his 5K!  He did AWESOME!!! His goal was sub 24, but he was almost there! Next race he will get it!

A meeting of the minds...O2 on gamenight on Saturday:)

Pool Time!

Sean and I took Owen to the pool for the first time when we were in Austin!  Oh my goodness...did we have a great time!  We took him in the pool twice, and the second time he kicked around and splashed and giggled.  This first time, he was a little pensive, trying to figure it all out. But he definitely enjoyed it!

Who is having more fun? Mommy or Owen?
Me and my precious boy:)

Sean and I were faced with a difficult decision when we got back from Austin.  We know it is our responsibility as Christians to protect those whom we love.  Sean and I had to make a difficult decision, but we knew it our hearts it was the right decision.  A verse that has helped us in the process:

Exodus 21:28-29

28 "If a bull gores a man or a woman to death, the bull must be stoned to death, and its meat must not be eaten. But the owner of the bull will not be held responsible.

29 If, however, the bull has had the habit of goring and the owner has been warned but has not kept it penned up and it kills a man or woman, the bull must be stoned and the owner also must be put to death.

It was one of the most difficult things we both have had to do...He was a hell of a dog, and will be sorely missed.  When I am ready I will devote a post to all of the shenanigans that Cloud put us through in the 8 years we had him, but I am not quite ready yet!

We will always love you Cloudy boy!

Austin or Bust

Sean and I had an AWESOME trip to Austin.  We have been on recovery mode since we got back but we had a great time.  My brothers came out to Austin for their best friend's wedding, and Sean and I made the trek out to Austin to meet them.  Sean and I had a mini vacation, and it was much needed.

Here are some of my favorite photos of the weekend in Austin!  What a great city!  I can't wait to go back!
There were these great trails right by our hotel, and Sean, Owen, and me took a nice long walk on Saturday morning.  It was awesome.  We saw all sorts of wildlife...turtles, squirrels, a beautiful swan.  I love this photo of Sean and Owen looking down at all of the turtles below:)

A nice refreshing glass of beer after a long walk around the city!
